URGENT NSW WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECKS & WWC RENEWALS

Ulladulla & Districts Netball Association Inc, Thu Sep 7, 2017 4:21PM

NSW WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK (WWCC).   A reminder to all our volunteers/members, it is UDNA’s policy that all our Coaches, Managers, Scorers, Primary Carers, Umpires, Executive Committee members and all Sub-Committee members, 18 years and over, must provide a copy of their NSW Working With Children Check number, validity date, date of birth and whether unpaid or paid worker status to the UDNA Secretary.  (There is no charge for unpaid worker status.)

This WWCC can be applied for online –   https://wwccheck.ccyp.nsw.gov.au/Applicants/Application

WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK RENEWALS:

The Working With Children Check has been operating in NSW for nearly five years and some Working With Children (WWC) numbers will start to expire from 15 June 2018.

Individuals with a WWC number that is about to expire will be able to submit a renewal application online within three months of their expiry date.   A reminder email will be sent from the Office of the Children’s Guardian to applicants three months before the WWC number expires.   They do not apply for a new Working With Children Check but simply renew, and their WWC number will be valid for another 5 years.

If the Office of the Children’s Guardian doesn’t hold a person’s current email address, they won’t be able to email them.   All UDNA volunteers should keep their contact details up-to-date so they can be alerted about their WWC renewals by going to www.kidsguardian.nsw.gov.au/check

PLEASE NOTE:
All UDNA volunteers/members when you have renewed your WWC please email a copy to Robin Butler, UDNA Secretary, ullasec@westnet.com.au or leave a copy at Committee Control as ALL renewals must be re-verified by the Association.
